How to extract audio
Save the audio track from a video as its original format, MP3, or M4A.
Steps
- 1
Add a video and select Extract audio.
- 2
Choose Original quality, MP3, or M4A.
- 3
Choose a destination.
- 4
Start extraction and open the new audio file.
What to expect
- Choose Original quality for speed and unchanged sound when possible.
- Choose MP3 when the file must work almost anywhere. Choose M4A for a compact modern audio file.
- Extraction cannot improve poor sound or create sound when the video has no audio track.
Good to know
- Original quality uses direct stream copy where practical.
- MP3 is the safest choice for older or unknown players.
- A video without an audio track cannot produce an audio file.
