What to expect

• Choose MP4 when you are unsure because it works in the widest range of apps and websites.
• No quality change means the app can copy the existing picture and sound into the new file type. This is quick but normally does not make the file smaller.
• GIF is only suitable for a short silent loop. Use MP4 or WebM for ordinary video.

Good to know

• Stream copy changes the container, not the media, so it is fast and normally does not shrink the file.
• GIF is best for short loops and can be larger than a video.
• The original remains untouched.
